Hey, I’m Nihent.
I’m a student who loves Linux, the cloud, and taking things apart to see how they work. Always up for a new project to figure out.
A little about me.
I like exploring tech, tinkering with systems, and making things work in my own way.
Student
Still studying, and always learning something new on the side.
Helping at home
I pitch in with work at home too.
English & Hindi
I speak both.
The tech I can’t leave alone.
What keeps pulling me in.
Phones that act like computers
Termux, Debian, QEMU, a Linux desktop in my pocket. I like finding out how far a phone can really be pushed.
Linux & servers
A terminal, a blinking cursor, and a machine that does exactly what I tell it. I love taking a bare server and slowly turning it into something that just works.
Apps & browsers
I can lose a whole evening working out how a favourite app behaves, what an extension really does, and why one page loads in a blink while another crawls. The small details matter to me.
Learning by trying
I don’t wait until I understand everything. I break it, read the error, fix it, and the lesson sticks far better than any manual.
How things really work
Weather, big numbers, countries, the scale of the universe. I follow a question until it finally makes sense.
What I’m building and breaking.
Experiments, in various stages of working.
Desktop in the cloud
A comfortable Linux or Windows desktop on a low-cost cloud machine that I can control from my phone over RDP and Tailscale.
ExperimentingBot hosting panel
A panel for hosting bots in Docker containers, with accounts, an admin area, a file manager, a console and GitHub import. React, Tailwind, Node.js, PostgreSQL and Nginx.

Happiest where the horizon is mountains.
Cold air, long views, and nothing that needs fixing.
Mountains
Snow on the ridgeline, cold clean air, and a view that makes every problem feel small. A mountain horizon resets my head like nothing else can.
Nature
Forest trails, fresh earth, birdsong, and moving slowly enough to actually notice all of it.
Rainy weather
My favourite weather by a long way. I’ll check when the rain is due the way other people check the news, and a cold, wet evening turns into the best time to build, read, or think.
The rain & nature lab.
Drag, press, listen.
- Rainsoft and steady
- Winddrifting through the trees
- Streama mountain brook
- Thunderfar away, now and then
- Birdsmorning chirps
Little things I love.
The everyday stuff.
Black coffee
Hot, strong, no sugar, no milk. One cup beside the keyboard and the whole room feels calmer.
Calm music
Soft, gentle songs are my kind of music. Calm, unhurried, and easy to have on for hours.
Movies of every kind
I’ll watch almost anything. Every type, every mood. A good story is a good story.
Quiet moments
No notifications, no noise. Just a free hour and room for an idea to go wherever it wants.
Big questions
How big is the universe, and what is the smallest thing there is? Maybe we are as invisible to something enormous as microbes are to us. I love thoughts that make me feel tiny and curious at once.
Find me elsewhere.
Different places, same person. Pick whichever suits you.
